First Overseas Korea Tourism Startup Center Opens in Singapore

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization (Acting President SHIN Sang Yong, KTO) opened the Korea Tourism Startup Center in Singapore, the first of its kind in the travel and hospitality industry, on Aug 31 (Wed). The Center is expected to provide strong support for promising and innovative tourism startups in Korea in identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

BCWW 2022 Runs from Aug 31 to Sept 2 To Seek Sustainability of the K-Contents with participants from 38 countries

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST), in collaboration with the Korea Creative Content Agency (President JO Hyun-rae, KOCCA) will host BroadCast WorldWide (BCWW) 2022, Asia’s largest broadcasting content market, at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from Aug 31 (Wed) to Sept 2 (Fri). The event will be a venue to explore the sustainability of the global popularity of K-Wave and K-Contents with major global buyers and other participants from 38 countries in attendance.

Eleven DMZ Peace Trails Open from September 13 (Tue)

The eleven (11) routes of the DMZ Peace Trail, created through the ten areas adjacent to the DMZ – Ganghwa, Gimpo, Goyang, Paju, Yeoncheon, Cheorwon, Hwacheon, Yanggu, Inje, and Goseong, will open to the public from September 13 through December. From Aug 23 (Tue), the pre-reservation opens for admission.

The 13th Korea, China, and Japan Culture Ministerial Meeting Held to expand cooperation in a bid to returning to normal everyday life

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism PARK Bo Gyoon (MCST) participated in the 13th South Korea-China-Japan Culture Ministers' Meeting together with his Chinese and Japanese counterparts, Hu Heping and Keiko Nagaoka on August 26 (Fri) to discuss in-depth ways to expand cultural cooperation and exchanges going forward. Based on the trust and friendship, the three countries have announced joint declaration. In consideration of the COVID-19, the trilateral conference was held via online platform, hosted by China.

MAD STARS 2022 Runs in Busan from Aug 25 to Aug 27

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST), the Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor PARK Heong-joon), and the MAD Stars Organizing Committee will hold the MAD STARS 2022, the only international advertising festival combining creativity with the state-of-the art technology, at BEXCO Busan and via online (www.adstars.org) from Aug 25 (Thu) to 27 (Sat) to “Find Mad ideas that will change the world”.
