Korea and China Marks the 30 years of Diplomatic Ties with Cultural Events

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (President JUNG Kilhwa, KOFICE) will be hosting a diverse and bountiful range of cultural exchange events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China and “2021-2022 Year of Korea-China Cultural Exchanges”. Starting with the hybrid online and offline concert on August 24th (Wed), the Ministry plans to hold various cultural exchange events, including creative theater plays by both Korean and Chinese youth artists, introducing monthly cultural contents (Korea-China Monthly), exhibit online art works, and other cultural events.

Korea Falls for Art: The 2022 Korea Art Week

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) together with the Korea Arts Management Service (President MOON Young-ho, KAMS), in partnership with more than 230 exhibition institutions across the country will be hosting the 2022 Korea Art Week from Sept 1 (Thur) to Sept 11 (Sun). This year’s event will present a wide variety of programs with the theme of Korea falls for art to reflect keen public interest in art.

Hanbok Expo 2022 Opens from Aug 25 to 28 at COEX Seoul

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) together with the Korea Craft & Design Foundation (President KIM Tae Hoon, KDCF) will host Hanbok[1] Expo 2022 at COEX D 2 Hall, Seoul, from August 25 (Thur) to 28 (Sun). The Hanbok Expo is the one and only Hanbok Exhibition that invites people who want to enjoy the charm of Korean traditional costume. Marking the 5th year, Hanbok Expo 2022 sells attractive Hanbok products from 74 companies at a discount price of up to 80%, and exhibits Hanbok, including accessories made by SONG Ga-in (Korean singer and the ambassador of Hanbok), pieces from contest winners, Hanbok-style school uniforms, and Hanbok as work clothes. There are plenty of opportunities for visitors to experience, including making and wearing Hanbok.

MCST to Discuss the Strategy of Recovering Korea Tourism Industry for Post Pandemic Era

The Second Vice Minister (CHO Yong-man) of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) will visit the “11th APEC Tourism Ministerial Meeting” in Bangkok, Thailand on August 19 (Fri) to present on the Korea’s strategy on recovering Tourism industry after the Pandemic. After the presentation by the Vice Minister CHO, a joint statement will be adopted for the future tourism for Asia Pacific region.
