Encouragement for the National Paralympic Team Participating in the Erzurum 2023 Winter Deaflympics

On the morning of February 22 (Thur), Minister YU In Chon of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) attended the “Winter Deaflympics Erzurum 2023 Team Dispatch Ceremony” held at the KPC Icheon Training Center to support our national paralympic team competing in the tournament. In addition, he will inspect the facilities of the Icheon Training Center and have lunch with the national team athletes stationed there.

110,000 Accommodation Vouchers to be Issued from Feb 27, Offering Travelers Savings on Domestic Accommodations

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister YU In Chon, MCST) in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is poised to invigorate local tourism further with the distribution of an additional 110,000 accommodation vouchers starting Feb 27. This initiative follows the successful distribution of 90,000 vouchers during the Lunar New Year holidays as part of the “Travel Month” celebration.

The 2024 Seoul International Sports & Leisure Industry Exhibition (2024 SPOEX) sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister YU In Chon, MCST) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister AHN Dukgeun), cohosted by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (CEO CHO Hyun-jae) and the Korea International Trade Association (Chairman KOO Ja-yeol) will be held at COEX in Seoul from February 22 (Thu) to 25 (Sun). The opening ceremony will commence at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, near COEX Hall A.

Celebrating a Century of Table Tennis in Korea: Busan Hosts the Country’s Inaugural World Table Tennis Championships

The “ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024” is set to take place from February 16 (Fri) to February 25 (Sun) at the BEXCO Convention Centre in Busan, South Korea. This championship will see the participation of approximately 2,000 athletes from 40 countries, competing in the men’s and women’s team events. Minister YU In Chon of the MCST will officiate the opening ceremony and celebrate the hosting of the championships in South Korea on Saturday, February 17, at 4 p.m., at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.
