Experience Your Korean Culture in Virtual World

The Korean Culture and Information Service (Director PARK Jung-Youl, KOCIS) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) launched the virtual (Metaverse) exhibition hall called “Korea World” for the first time this year to create a virtual environment where people can enjoy the Korean culture and discover new Korean contents. The newly launched virtual space called “Korea World” opened on November 30 to serve as a venue for international Hallyu fans to share and communicate with the contents they have created. The name “Korea World” shows the purpose and desire to gather Korean cultural contents in one place and to enjoy beyond physical boundaries.

Korean Culture and Information Service (Director PARK Jung-Youl, KOCIS) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) in cooperation with KDI School of Public Policy and Management (Dean YOU Jong Il, KDIS) will host “Global Forum for Culture and Youth 2021” on Wednesday, December 1, 9:30 a.m. at Grand Walkerhill Seoul. To open up an opportunity for all, the forum will be live-streamed on the website of KOCIS (www.kocis.go.kr).

MCST Shares Korean Publishing Industry Experience and Copyright System with Six Asian Countries

Hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (Secretary-General TANG Daren, WIPO) and the Korean Publishers Association (President YOON, Cheol-Ho, KPA) and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST), the 'Performance Coaching Program With Asian Publishers within the Publishers Circle Initiative' was held via online from November 16 to 18. This initiative, part of MCST and WIPO copyright trust fund project, was designed to strengthen the capabilities of policy makers and private publishers in developing Asian countries.

The 1st K-Musical Market to be held Nov 24-26

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST), the Korea Arts Management Service (President MOON Young-ho, KAMS), and the Seoul Arts Center (President YOO In Taek, SAC) will hold the first 2021 K-Musical Market for three days from November 24 through 26 at the Seoul Arts Center. This very first international Musical event was organized to create a stable environment for the productions by boosting financing from Korea and overseas providing investment opportunities across the whole process of the musical theater business.
