Curriculum in place to Train Professional Talents in Media for Drama Production and Distribution

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) together with the Korea Drama Production Association (President SONG Byung-Jun, KDPA) will run a course called “(K)-Global Broadcasting Video Contents Curriculum” for nurturing practical talents and experts in the field of broadcasting and video production from April 25 (Mon).

MCST-KNPA-Interpol Jointly Arrested 207 Online Copyright Infringement Offenders

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) and the Korean National Police Agency (Commissioner General KIM, Chang Yong, KNPA) cooperated with the International Criminal Police Organization (President AHMED Naser AL-Raisi, Interpol) to jointly crack down on copyright infringement sites that distributed illegal contents through overseas servers last year. The cooperative crack down activities led to arresting 207 site operators and heavy uploaders of 47 sites and 34 sites were closed.

The First K-Culture Conference discusses on the Government's Role for a Sustainable Korean Wave

Middle and High Schools Wear Hanbok As School Uniforms

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister HWANG Hee, MCST) together with the Ministry of Education (Minister YOO Eun-hae, MOE) recruit 12 additional middle and high schools from April 21 (Thu) to Jun 30 (Thur) to adopt Hanbok (Korean traditional clothes) as a school uniform. Those schools intend to apply for the project of wearing Hanbok as a school uniform will be able to submit their application from June 7 (Tue) to June 30 (Thur) 5PM.

Launching Ceremony for 2021 Summer Deaflympics held at Olympic Parktel Hotel on April 18

The Inaugural Ceremony for the Korean national team to participate in the ‘24th Summer Olympic Games (Deaflympics)’ was held at the Olympic Parktel Olympia Hall in Seoul on April 18 (Mon). The 24th Games will be held in Caxias do Sul, Brazil from May 1 (Sun) to May 15 (Sun) for 15 days. This Game was originally scheduled to be hosted in 2021, which was postponed for one year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
