“Korea: Cubically Imagined,” to Be Held in Dubai & Abu Dhabi from Nov. 16 to Dec. 4, Will Feature 20 Installations of Cutting-edge Technology Convergence Content

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) together with the Korea Creative Content Agency (President Jo Hyun-rae, KOCCA) will hold “Korea: Cubically Imagined,” an exhibition themed on cutting-edge technology convergence content in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November 16 to December 4 (local time). Cutting-edge technology convergence content refers to presentations of content from a variety of sectors using VFX, VR, AR, AI and other technologies to offer new and immersive experiences. The exhibition will be held in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai (Nov 16 to 30) and the Korean Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi (Nov 20 to Dec 4).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) is to hold the 2022 Global Sustainable Tourism Forum on November 10 (Thur) at the grand ballroom of the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul together with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to discuss on future tourism strategies and international cooperation tackling the climate change.

The 16th UNWTO AP Executive Training Program on Tourism Policy and Strategy to be Held in Seoul from Nov 7 to 11

The 16th UNWTO Asia/Pacific Executive Training Program on Tourism Policy and Strategy is to be held from November 7 (Mon) to November 11 (Fri) at the grand ballroom of the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul. Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) and the UN World Tourism Organization (Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO), and organized by the Korea Tourism Organization (President KIM Jang-sil, KTO), the event will be attended by 20 executive-level public officials from 20 Asian and Pacific member states of the UNWTO, who will share cases of public-private cooperation towards greater resilience and digital transition of the tourism industry and discuss the future of tourism in the Asia-Pacific region under the theme of “Investing in a Sustainable Tourism Industry.”

Listening to Voices in the Field to Strengthen the Competitiveness of Regional Tourism

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister PARK Bo Gyoon, MCST) is holding a series of four consecutive discussions and collecting opinions from the field to establish its 6th Basic Tourism Promotion Plan (2023 to 2027). Following the first discussion on October 27 (Thur), the second discussion was held in the Seunggwangjae building in Jeollabuk-do Province’s Jeonju Hanok Village on November 2 (Wed). Chaired by 2nd Vice Minister CHO Yong-Man, the second discussion was on ways to strengthen the competitiveness of regional tourism to make an even more attractive tourist destination.
