This Game was originally scheduled to be hosted in 2021, which was postponed for one year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
In the ceremony held on Monday, 30 representatives of the delegation, including the delegation head SHIM Gye-won and the 2nd Vice Minister OH Young-woo from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), LEE Jonghak, president of the Korea Deaf Sports Federation, and JEONG Jin-wan, chairman of the Korean Paralympic Committee took part to encourage the national team.
For this 15-days event, more than 3,000 athletes from 27 countries are expected to participate and the Korean national team (82 athletes, 68 officers) will be competing in 8 disciplines, with the goal of winning 30 medals.

Vice Minister OH said that our national team will achieve good results as they trained hard even in the limited circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
