The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister CHAE Hwi-young, MCST) and the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), in cooperation with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), will host the Awards Ceremony for the 2025 APEC K-Culture × AI Video Global Contest on October 24 (Friday) at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The contest was organized to promote Korea’s image as a global technology leader and to advance APEC’s core values by showcasing creative content that integrates Korean culture with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. In collaboration with domestic companies, the organizers also provided participants with AI-based video production tools, creating new promotional opportunities for early-stage Korean AI start-ups. Held under the theme “Creating a sustainable tomorrow through a fresh perspective on Korean culture,” the contest attracted more than 300 AI-generated video submissions. Following a review process, 16 outstanding works were selected as finalists across two categories—General Video Content and K-POP-Style Music Video.
